Never seen it taken apart like that, so that's rather cool. Germany on it from what I can see, but it does have the "Pix" logo on the underside of the clip, and the serial starts with "BP." I think mine is newer than that one, in that it doesn't say W. I have a similar pen, burgundy ballpoint with the burgundy cap as well. Is there anything more any of you can tell me about this pen? I am now thinking of passing this on to my daughter who is about to graduate from college. I was completely flabbergasted by the cultish following (no offense intended) and demand (and value) of these pens. I'm about to order a refill cartridge (it's marked 901C) but in so doing my curiosity was aroused. Now some twenty years later, I cleaned out the back of my desk drawer and re-discovered this beautiful gift. I continued to use this pen for a number of years in the late 90's but at some point the cartridge ran out of ink & I set it in my desk only to forgot about it. > On the pocket clip (ring), there is the following: CB276# W. > Engraved on the barrel ring is MOUNT BLANC - MEISTERSTUCK. Besides fond memories, all I have is the pen - no presentation box or service guide. The gift he gave me was his everyday pen - so not new in box, etc. Truth be told, he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away soon after.
